My story: I am a petite girl and one day I found myself on the streets of Aegina, Greece. My owner was a very bad owner and he did not want me anymore and abandoned me. I was lost, starving and alone. How should I survive? Thankfully, I am such a loving little creature, that animal lovers soon heard about me roaming the streets and trying to survive by following every gentle human who would give me a little bit of affection! I was such a sweet and trusting little girl that I was at risk of a bad person potentially harming me. So they brought me to the shelter in Aegina, Greece. The staff was great but with hundreds of dogs, there was not much time for me and I am so craving for LOVE. I lived alone in a kennel for the five and a half years and I was so lonely. When people passed by my kennel, you saw me with my head down, my tail down, the saddest eyes you can imagine. I was lonely. I was sad. I waited for 5 1/2 years behind bars just because I am a pitbull and although I was taken out for walks, I did not want to spend the rest of my life living in a kennel in a shelter. Nobody wanted to adopt me locally, nobody. I was the forgotten creature. I was craving for a home. I wanted to know what it feels like to live in a home! To be loved! To be wanted !!!!!

ZSP learned about me. In early September 2019, I traveled to New York with the co-founder or Zero Stray Pawject. I stayed with her in a hotel and was the sweetest thing. I was fantastic in the car and behaved like a lady on the boat. I arrived happy with a wagging tail. I was first fostered with ZSP’s trainers from Pawsitively Love before I met my new family. ZSP was carefully vetting lots of families and Lisa and Rob made it into the final round. During the last home visit, I got really ecstatic. They have this HUGE house with a 2 acre fences in yard! AMAZING!!! And they seemed to be a lovely couple. I really wanted to stay there. Thankfully, after many conversations, they adopted me. I now live the DREAM!! 5 1/2 years in a kennel in solitary confinement left its marks on me. I have to learn a whole lot of things. I am going to obedience class and get a lot of training. I love to play bite and often don’t know when to stop. But Lisa and Rob are such kind people and give me patience and love to start feeling like a dog again. And I am getting so spoiled. I am a real lady, and a people’s person!

When you look into my eyes, you look deep into my gentle soul.

Thank you Zero Stray Pawject for looking beyond the breed. Thank you for saving my giving me another chance in life! I feel like I am reborn!
